12 May 2025: In a grand culmination of the city’s most spirited and expansive corporate sporting event, the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) hosted a spectacular awards evening to felicitate winners of the HYSEA Intercorporate Sports Tournament 2024-25 on Friday, 9th May 2025. The glittering ceremony was held at the Infosys Campus, Gachibowli, and graced by none other than Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton Team, as the Chief Guest.
Joining Gopichand in presenting the awards were Mr. Raghu Boddupally, VP & DC Head, Infosys Gachibowli, Hyderabad and Mr. Prashanth Nandella, President, HYSEA.
In his keynote address, Mr. Gopichand lauded the initiative and emphasized that “sports should not be limited to the young and fit, but be a celebration of participation across all age groups.” He encouraged HYSEA to broaden the tournament’s reach in the coming years to be more inclusive, welcoming participants regardless of age or fitness level.
Spanning from September to December 2024, the tournament brought together over 2,000 associates from 60 HYSEA member companies, competing in 15 different sports disciplines. The tournament was hosted at the Infosys STP and SEZ campuses, and witnessed participation from more than 270 teams, making it the largest sporting celebration of its kind in the city.
Sporting Disciplines Included:
- Team Sports: Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi
- Racquet Sports: Tennis, Shuttle Badminton, Squash
- Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Carroms, Chess, Snooker, Pool
- Women’s Exclusive Events: Box Cricket, Throwball
Field Cricket emerged as the most popular sport, drawing in 42 teams alone. The tournament successfully fostered not only physical wellness and competitive excellence but also camaraderie, collaboration, and vibrant team spirit among Hyderabad’s corporate professionals.
Infosys served as the Venue Partner, generously supporting the event logistics both at STP and SEZ campuses, while Bharath Cloud partnered as the T-Shirt Sponsor, both playing pivotal roles in the event’s grand success.
HYSEA extends heartfelt gratitude to all participating companies, partners, and supporters for making this edition of the Intercorporate Sports Tournament a landmark celebration of community and corporate wellness.
