Glimpses of remarkable initiatives on DEI and CSR @ Firstsource Solutions Ltd.

Firstsource solutions limited had an amazing first quarter of the financial year witnessing employees being active participants in CSR and inclusion & diversity events. Overall 220 volunteers participated in CSR events across 17 events by spending 506.5 hours impacting 95 lives and creating 290 environmental footprints. Major campaigns conducted during the quarter were Earth day (April), world environment day & Pride Day (June) celebrations.

  • Earth Day Celebrations:
  • volunteers from Firstsource Hyderabad contributed 150 hours by participating in Eco-friendly bag making, Seed ball making, and beautification of public place activities. In a view to increasing the green cover, seed ball-making activity was organized in collaboration with Bhumi Foundation NGO at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Lingampally, Hyderabad.
  • Mega Plantation Drive:

As part of the Community Outreach CSR initiative, we have collaborated with Thuvakkam NGO to plant 1200 saplings from different species (Trees, herbs, and shrubs) in the Miyawaki method. We had a huge team of volunteers joining in during the early morning of Sunday, May 22 on the banks of Kudikunta Lake, Kondapur, Hyderabad. We also had a few FSL volunteer family members joining the event.

  • Environment day celebrations:

On the Occasion of the World Environment Day(WED) celebration, in collaboration with the Bhumi Foundation bird feeder and planter-making activities were organized in the office, and a lake cleanup activity at Ameenpur lake was also conducted by FSL volunteers.

  • Pride month celebrations:

Hyderabad site employees came together to celebrate ‘Source of Pride’ in a networking event at the office with a footfall of over 130 employees. The event’s purpose was to reiterate the role of allies in ensuring LGBTQIA+ colleagues thrive in an intentionally inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where they can bring their whole selves to work. The event had leaders sharing views on the significance of Pride and FSL’s culture of inclusivity. The audience also enjoyed other attractions like the Pride quiz, a photo booth, and Slogan Graffiti. The showstopper of the event was Pride Parade where volunteers dressed up in Pride colors & accessories, held Pride flags banners walked the campus to show solidarity, support, and respect to the LGBTQI+ community. The event ended with a pledge campaign.
