HYSEA 33rd Annual General Body Meeting

May 10, 2025: The HYSEA Annual General Meeting (AGM) for FY 2024–25 was convened on June 15, 2025, at 11:30 AM following an initial adjournment due to lack of quorum. With over 50 members present, the quorum was achieved, and the meeting was formally called to order by Mr. Phani Pattamatta, COO, HYSEA, who invited Mr. Prashanth Nandella, President, HYSEA, to preside over the proceedings.

Annual Report Presentation

Mr. Prashanth Nandella presented the Annual Report for FY 2024–25, providing a comprehensive overview of HYSEA’s journey and milestones:

  • Legacy & Growth: Tracing HYSEA’s legacy since 1991 and its role in shaping Hyderabad’s IT/ITES sector.
  • Economic Impact:
    • $32.2 Billion in exports
    • ~1 Million strong IT workforce
    • 400+ member companies
    • Representing 95% of Hyderabad’s IT industry
  • Strategic Focus Areas:
    • Talent Transformation: Programs like Project Drona, LDPs, Kickstart
    • Innovation & Startups: Catalyst initiative, HYSEA Product Awards
    • Policy Advocacy: Roundtables, policy recommendations
    • Member Engagement & Knowledge Leadership
    • ESG & CSR: DDI 2.0, Project Udaan, Career Saathi

Outlook for FY 2025–26 includes:

  • Strengthening CXO engagement
  • Launching a flagship summit
  • Building a robust knowledge repository
  • Scaling innovation and ecosystem programs

Members noted the report with appreciation. Supriya Saripalli, Chief of Staff, ServiceNow, recommended a greater focus on member-relevant insights and reports. In response, Mr. Nandella emphasized that a dedicated council led by Phani Pattamatta and Shanti is already focusing on this, with recent surveys conducted to align future outputs with member needs.

Audited Accounts for FY 2024–25

Mr. Ramakrishna Lingireddy, General Secretary, presented the audited financial statements as of March 31, 2025. The accounts, audited by Jayant & Sadashiv, were formally adopted by the General Body. The motion was proposed by Mr. Brij Mohan, MD, Anion, and seconded by Mr. Pradeep Kondabattini (Mobis Technical Centre) and Mr. Sairam Vedam (Coforge).

Statutory Auditors for FY 2025–26

The AGM approved the reappointment of Jayant & Sadashiv as statutory auditors, with partners Mr. Chandra Sekhar Vaddadi, Mr. Jayant Palnitkar, and Mr. Sadashiv Sawrikar. The nomination was proposed by Mr. Raghu Boddupally (Infosys) and seconded by Dr. Krishna Yedula (Virtusa) and Mr. Kishore Uppalapati (Qylis).

Bye-law Amendments

Mr. Bipin Chandra Pendyala, Vice President, HYSEA, presented approved amendments to HYSEA’s bye-laws:

  • New Membership Category “F” introduced
  • Revised Fee Structure to reflect current operating costs and member profiles
    • Effective FY 2025–26 for new members
    • Effective FY 2026–27 for existing members

The changes followed extensive consultations during EC and MC meetings and were ratified on April 9, 2025, with quorum.

Special Address by Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy

Co-Founding Member of HYSEA and Chairman of CYIENT, Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, addressed members, urging heightened vigilance in light of rising geopolitical tensions. Emphasizing cybersecurity and robust Business Continuity Plans, he advised the industry to be proactive and well-prepared.

He called on HYSEA to foster a mindset shift from services to product innovation, intrapreneurship, and entrepreneurship. Highlighting that “the days of ‘the customer knows best’ are over,” he encouraged members to challenge norms and invest in value creation through R&D and innovation.

Member Recognition

Nineteen out of 36 long-standing member companies were felicitated for their continued association with HYSEA. The recognitions were presented by Sri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, in the presence of the General Body.

Vote of Thanks

Mr. Ramakrishna Lingireddy concluded the AGM with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all attendees, including special invitees, past presidents, and industry leaders. Special appreciation was extended to Sri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, and Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy for their guidance and continued support.
