Hope in a Cup – A Truly Inclusive CSR Initiative

On August 8th, OpenText Hyderabad launched “Hope in a Cup – Truly Inclusive,” a café managed by semi-skilled and unskilled members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Located within our Mindspace office, this initiative aims to ensure respect and dignity for all individuals, regardless of gender identity. By providing tailored training and employment opportunities, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals.

The initiative’s unique “train the trainer” model not only imparts café management skills but also covers corporate standards, communication ethics, life management skills, menu planning, and food safety. This holistic approach empowers participants, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. In just over a month, “Hope in a Cup” has become a bustling hub, serving over 300 orders daily. This pioneering initiative has earned OpenText India the prestigious Impact Category Award at CredTech 2024. With unwavering support from OpenTexters and our extended community, we arefostering a culture of inclusion and empowerment.

Flood Relief Program

In response to the recent catastrophic floods in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, which affected over 500,000 people, OpenText Hyderabad partnered with HYSEA and Nirmaan to launch acomprehensive relief program. We distributed Back-to-Home Kits, containing essential food, hygiene, and medicine items, to over 300 flood-affected families, helping them rebuild their lives.
