Navigating the Green Economy – Thought leadership Series

25th July 2024: As part of the HYSEA Thought Leadership Series, we hosted an enlightening session titled “Navigating the Green Economy: ESG Trends and Renewable Energy Sources” on Thursday, 25th July.

Session 1: ESG Awareness & Trends for India Inc

Led by Wg Cdr Srikanth Balagandar MCR, Founder of Scapes Global, this session covered the risks and benefits of ESG adoption. The risks discussed included market and competitive risks, increased insurance costs, and succession planning risks. On the other hand, the benefits highlighted were enhanced corporate reputation, regulatory compliance, access to capital, and operational efficiency.

Session 2: Enabling Energy Transition for India Inc

Led by Nithya Balakrishnan, Uday Kiran Pragnapuram, and Akhil Katara from Fourth Partners Energy Limited, this session focused on key highlights such as major corporations like Microsoft and Google investing heavily in renewable energy, India’s renewable energy target of 500 GW by 2030, the significant growth potential in India’s renewables sector, and notable strides by Indian tech companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra in energy transition.
