HYSEA Holds 34th Annual General Body Meeting – A New Chapter Begins

April 29, 2026 | HICC, Hyderabad

HYSEA convened its 34th Annual General Body Meeting on April 29, 2026, at HICC, bringing together member companies, industry leaders, and the secretariat for a morning of reflection, recognition, and renewed purpose.

A Year of Impact Across Four Pillars

Outgoing President Prashanth Nandella presented the Annual Report for FY 2025–26, opening with a reaffirmation of HYSEA’s core philosophy – built by the members, for the members. With over 400 member companies representing nearly 95% of the IT and tech workforce in Hyderabad and Telangana, Prashanth walked the gathering through a year of meaningful work across HYSEA’s four pillars.

On Member Engagement, the association deepened knowledge-sharing across company sizes — from startups to large conglomerates — through startup connect initiatives, SME market access programmes, leadership forums with visiting dignitaries including the US Consulate, and the Impact Hub platform enabling CSR participation across education, healthcare, and skilling.

Under Future Readiness, the Annual Product Innovation Awards saw strong industry participation with over 300 companies, evaluated by a jury of accelerators and investors. HYSEA also identified two key positioning pillars for Hyderabad in the AI era — developing talent capable of solving current corporate challenges, and building skilled change managers to guide organisational transformation. Skilling programmes like Nipuna and Project Drona continued to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Thought Leadership took shape through a knowledge series in partnership with Deloitte, KPMG, KNAV, and PwC, covering AI adoption, ESG, regulatory changes, and deep tech talent. Masterclasses at flagship events targeted mid-management, equipping a layer of leadership at risk of disruption as AI reshapes workforce structures.

On the Policy and Ecosystem Advocacy front, HYSEA contributed to Telangana’s new ICT Policy and co-created the Scale@Hyderabad report with the Government of Telangana – a positioning document that member companies can use in client conversations. The association also made tangible progress on infrastructure issues including road widening, traffic management, and pedestrian facilities near the IIIT-H junction, and achieved meaningful policy wins on trade licensing and green power open access.

Across all programes and events, approximately 8,000 people were meaningfully engaged during the year – decision-makers and change-drivers across the ecosystem.

Strong Financial Health

General Secretary Ramakrishna Lingireddy presented the audited financials for FY 2025–26, which were approved by the AGM. The association recorded a significantly improved financial performance, with revenues growing substantially on the back of increased membership and a strong calendar of flagship events, while expenses remained well-controlled – reflecting sound financial discipline.

Governance Updates

The AGM also approved amendments to HYSEA’s Bye Laws, covering the registered office clause, budget approval processes, and eligibility criteria for Managing Committee and Executive Committee membership. The changes were designed to provide greater operational flexibility while strengthening governance accountability. The association decided to continue with its current auditors, Jayant & Sadashiv, for FY 2026–27.

Welcoming New Leadership

Prashanth announced that the new Managing Committee was elected unopposed – a reflection of the strong interest among industry leaders in contributing to HYSEA’s growth. He expressed gratitude to Election Officer Mr. Kali Prasad for managing the process with professionalism, and to EC members Bipin, Ramakrishna, Vinay, and Isaac, as well as the broader MC and secretariat team for their contributions over the past two years.

In a warm moment, members and the secretariat honoured Prashanth with a collage of memories from his tenure, in recognition of his leadership and the strong foundation he helped build for the association.

Bipin Pendyala Assumes Charge as President

Bipin Pendyala, General Manager at Appen India, was announced as the incoming President for the 2026–28 term. In his first address to members, Bipin acknowledged the responsibility entrusted to him and the strong foundation laid by the outgoing committee. He outlined a clear purpose for the new term – to strengthen HYSEA as the most trusted voice of Hyderabad’s software industry by institutionalizing governance, elevating member value, and scaling membership, with the goal of making HYSEA the default platform for collaboration between industry, government, academia, and the startup ecosystem.

The new committee will pursue three strategic tracks: Govern Well – building robust SOPs, bylaws, and operational systems; Deliver Differentiated Value – through high-quality learning, research, events, and recognition programmes; and Grow the Network – by scaling HYSEA’s membership and amplifying its influence on regional industry growth. Bipin invited members to actively engage and partner with the new committee in making HYSEA’s next chapter its most impactful yet.

The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by outgoing General Secretary Ramakrishna Lingireddy.
