18th Dec 2024: Industry leaders, senior government officials, and infrastructure stakeholders convened at T-Hub for a crucial follow-up meeting to address infrastructure and traffic challenges in Hitec City and the Financial District. The meeting, a continuation of discussions initiated by HYSEA with Mr. Avinash Mohanty, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, and the ITE&C Department, focused on advancing short-term and medium-term solutions to ease congestion and improve connectivity in the IT corridor.
Key Updates:
Short-term initiatives already in progress include the installation of surveillance cameras on high-rise buildings and the deployment of marshals at critical traffic junctions.
Medium-term solutions discussed covered cluster-level transportation strategies, enhanced public transport for support staff, development of parking and bus bays, construction of foot overbridges, carpooling policies, and road infrastructure improvements.
The session witnessed participation from Mr. Avinash Mohanty, IPS, CP, Cyberabad, Mr. Joel Davis, IPS, Joint CP, Cyberabad, Mr. E. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, IFS, VC & MD, TGIIC, senior officials from GHMC, HMDA, TGRTC, HMRL, and other key government bodies, along with representatives from large IT employers and industry associations.
The discussions reinforced the importance of collaborative action between government agencies and the IT industry to drive sustainable urban mobility solutions. With strong momentum and a commitment to execution, these initiatives are set to significantly enhance the commuting experience for thousands of professionals in Hyderabad’s IT hub.
