Star Member of HYSEA – Computershare

Computershare Business Support Services (CBSS) in India recently celebrated its two-year anniversary at its Hyderabad and Bengaluru offices. The team is part of Computershare’s Corporate Trust division, with the India-based team providing critical back-office and technology services. The entity, which started out with just ten workers now employs around 500 people.

To help mark the anniversary, Computershare’s Global CEO, Stuart Irving, and members of his leadership team visited the CBSS team in Hyderabad. This was an exciting moment, with the team in India having a chance to showcase its accomplishments and also kick off its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project in partnership with the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.

Computershare’s CSR efforts also include a digital library volunteering activity, where more than 60 employees recorded audiobooks for people with visual impairments. Employees also donated more than 1,100 kilograms of non-perishable food items to the NGO’s beneficiaries. The two offices also donated health and hygiene kits to more than 100 female students as well as assistive devices to students with disabilities.

Computershare’s India offices have also received two Global Capability Centers (GCC) Workplace Awards. More than 300 GCCs participated in the nomination process, many of which were both larger and longer established than CBSS. In addition, the organising committee considered feedback from each firm’s employees in deciding the awards. Computershare was named one of the overall Top 24 GCCs of 2024 and one of the Top 6 GCCs in Diversity and Inclusion.

Computershare also won two gold awards at the Infrastructure, Facility, Human Resource and Realty Association (INFHRA) Excellence Awards: an event that recognises the work of facility management professionals. The newly-formed Computershare Facilities team won the Gold Award for Corporate Real Estate for their excellence in facilities management. The team also won a Gold Award for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), underlining the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and health in the workplace and ensuring a secure and healthy environment for everyone.

All these achievements reflect Computershare’s dedication towards providing exceptional services and fostering a positive workplace culture while supporting local communities.
