Council Purpose

The ER&D Council seeks to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a premier ER&D destination by bringing together industry leaders across semiconductors, automotive and EV, physical AI and smart manufacturing, pharma and medtech, telecom, and AI-driven engineering.

Building a dedicated focus around IoT, digital twins and intelligent manufacturing. 

Pharma, Life Sciences & MedTech 
Strengthening Hyderabad’s role in technology-enabled life sciences and medical innovation. 

Telecom & 5G/6G 
Engaging around next-generation telecom engineering and capabilities. 

AI-Driven Engineering 
Exploring the shift towards AI-enabled product and engineering capabilities. 

Council Objectives:

  • Build a peer network of ER&D centre heads across the focus areas.  
  • Establish Physical AI & Smart Manufacturing as a dedicated track.  
  • Champion the Pharma, Life Sciences & MedTech track.  
  • Collaborate with leading academic institutions on curriculum co-creation and support startups through ecosystem partners.  
  • Advocate for R&D tax incentives, IP protection and relevant national initiatives.
