Infosys Hyderabad DC in Collaboration with HYSEA organizes the Second Edition of sHeACKATHON – An all Women Hackathon
Over 100 women technologists from various corporates participated in 36 hours non-stop Hackathon event at Infy’s sprawling Gachibowli campus.

INFOSYS Hyderabad Development Center in partnership with HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association)successfully concluded the second edition of sHeACKATHON, the women only hackathon. The hackathon was organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Aligned to the UN theme ‘Innovate for Change’, the hackathon was ideated, conceptualized by Infosys and HYSEA with inputs by Zonal Commissioner of GHMC and was actively led by Infosys Hyderabad Diversity Council. The objective of the hackathon was to provide a platform to women technologists to collaborate & create innovative game changing technical solutions around the theme of sustainability.
sHeACKATHONreceived overwhelming response from women technologists in Hyderabad. As part of the competition, over 100 women participated. The hackathon was divided into three rounds. Following two rigorous rounds, 17 teams qualified for the 36-hour long finale organized at Infosys campus.
Leveraging new technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, IoT, the finalists developed smart apps for healthcare, safety, eco-conservation, agriculture and waste management under the mentorship of a group of Hackmasters from Infosys.
Ms. Hari Chandana Dasari, IAS officer and Zonal Commissioner (West) of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was the chief guest of the finale.While addressing the audience, Ms. Hari Chandana Dasari emphasized on the need for industry and corporates to nurture and support women workforce to excel in their career.

R Srinivas Rao HYSEA, COOmentioned that technology should be leveraged to solve real problems and journey of sHeACKATHON forum in the direction of resolution of actual issues & reimagining technological solutions has been incredible.
The team that qualified for the finals were judged by highly distinguished industry leaders.
The winning team FALCON WOMEN from Tech Mahindra consisting of MalliPriya Kovelakaru, Madhuri E, Akhila Tupili, Saonti Ghosh, and Kruti Gupta developed a solution for crop care using IoT with predictive crop yield, cognitive recognition of crop infections and chatbot for crop information.
The runner-up team THE SUPERLATIVES from Infosys Ltd consisting of Sneha Charlapally, Sumalatha Avusula, Yamuna Dandu, Anusha Vollu created a grievance management system for GHMC complaints using Dynamic CRM and Smart Ambulance Navigation Tool.
The second runner up team Telstra Hackers consisting of Usha Kudupudi, Shyamala Josyula, Tejaswi Paruchuri, Veda Sri Ch, and Ashima Gupta was also from Infosys Ltd.
The jury choice award also went to the team from Infosys for developing E-woman app for pregnant women in rural areas to connect with Anganwadi centers and leverage government schemes.
