2021 has been a year of continuous growth at SYKES.
We have tripled our workforce since April 2020 and have been steadily growing our numbers. We opened two new centers, opening more opportunities for our community.
We also celebrated huge wins, bringing home bronze awards for Contact Center of the Year and Customer Service Management of the Year from the very coveted 2021 Asia Pacific Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service.
At the heart of our achievements are our team members, doing their best amid their personal battles. With the pandemic hitting the country hard, we made sure to put their safety and well-being as our top priority.
As we saw the cases rise, we immediately rolled back our on-site teams to a work-at-home arrangement. We explored ways on how we can better support them, rolling out virtual activities to lighten up their load and help them feel connected, with each event garnering hundreds of participants. We also held a mental health webinar and promoted a wellness hotline for employees to seek help when necessary through our partnership with Fortis Hospitals.
Most importantly, in June, we rolled out our free COVID-19 vaccination under the SYKES ARMOR program in partnership with Medicover Hospitals. Very proud to share more than half of our workforce has been vaccinated, and we will continue to provide vaccines until the end of July with plans of more drive in Q4 for our team members.
Safety may be our priority, but we also ensured that we continue to rally for our advocacies and the community in the ways that we can. We donated INR 15,00,000 to SCSC for their vaccination drive for the under privilege and donated computer and printers to Oxy Care Hospital set up for fight against covid.. We have also actively promoted our Diversity and Equality efforts by providing more opportunities for women, as well as sustainability efforts, integrating different efforts on our new sites.
