Hyderabad 9th December 2019:
Visa Officers from the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad discussed visa related issues faced by local IT/ITES companies during an Awareness Program on Nonimmigrant Visashosted by HYSEA on Dec. 9 at the offices of Infosys Ltd. in Gachibowli.
A five-member Consular Team answered questions on a variety of nonimmigrant visa classes, with a focus on B-1, L-1, and H-1B visas. They explained the visa process and discussed facilitation options available to mitigate long wait times. The Consular Team also discussed fraud and common issues faced during interviews.
More than 150 HR Heads and Immigration Team Leads from 60 IT Companies attended the session.
Earlier Mr. Murali Bollu,President, HYSEA and CEO of ZenQ, welcomed the participants and thanked the U.S. Consular team for a timely session in light of recent changes to visa procedures.
Others present for the workshop included Mr. Raghu Boddupally, AVP and Development Centre Head, Infosys Gachibowli Campus,Chief Operating Officer of HYSEA, R. Srinivas Rao, and a representative of the U.S. Commercial Service.
