Launches HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum 

Ms. Mamatha Madireddy, Centre Director – GSC Hyd, Chennai, Kolkata, Vizag, HSBC will lead the forum

Hyderabad, 24th June 2021:

Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana & Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry, launched HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum today virtually from Puducherry. Speaking on the occasion the Hon’ble Governor said, “I am very happy to be launching this eminent forum. As someone who is an ardent advocate of women’s rights, gender parity, women empowerment, and equality, it would give me immense satisfaction to see accomplished Women Leaders coming on to a platform to mentor and nurture young and upcoming women leaders of the IT Industry”. Mentorship and coaching she said are the key enablers for accelerated growth of young and aspiring women leaders in the industry.

HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum will consist of accomplished women leaders and also men leaders from across the industry who will provide not only thought leadership but mentorship to young and upcoming women leaders of the IT/ITES Industry. The forum will also serve as an important networking platform for women leaders. The forum will work towards identifying the challenges, develop programs and initiatives for the women leaders to effectively manage them, create mentoring and counselling platforms , set quantifiable targets to create leaders at different levels and continuously improve these numbers over a period of time.

Earlier welcoming the Hon’ble Chief Guest and all participants, Mr. Bharani K Aroll, President, HYSEA, and CEO, Infopeers, talked about how HYSEA Leadership has always focused and created interventions to improve opportunities for women to move into leadership positions within the industry. An exclusive woman focused Leadership Development Program, launched in 2009, tries to bridge the wide gap between the number of women in the workforce and those in senior positions and sensitises them and widens their business horizon to take up challenges in senior roles. This program has trained more than 1000+ women leaders from 200+ companies in the last 12years and is considered a must attend program by all women associates from member companies. Talking about the newly launched ‘HYSEA Women Leaders’ Forum’, he shared that, it will strive to be an Industry wide effort to help achieve scale. HYSEA, he said will endeavor to continue its mission to promote greater gender Equality in the leadership positions. Women Leaders’ Forum is a progressive next step, with an able leader Mamatha leading this initiative supported by another accomplished leader, Manisha Saboo, our treasurer, Sailaja Josyula, Center head of Cognizant and others.

Ms. Mamatha Madireddy, Centre Director – GSC Hyd, Chennai, Kolkata, Vizag, HSBC will be the first to lead the forum.  Ms. Manisha Saboo, AVP and Centre Head, Pocharam SEZ & Indore DC, Infosys Ltd & Treasurer HYSEA will also play a key role in the forum.

Talking about the Forum, Ms. Mamatha Madireddy said, “Bridging the gender gap is a constant journey towards having the most inclusive and balanced workforce. The ultimate goal is to reach a point where this is not even a topic to discuss. We have to work collectively to succeed in this journey”.

The event also hosted an engaging panel discussion on “Women in Leadership” moderated by Ms. Mamatha Madireddy.

More than 200+ Women Leaders from IT/ITES Industry participated in the event.
