The State Government has recently introduced several labour reforms to improve Ease of Doing Business. HYSEA organised an interactive webinar with Sri. Ahmad Nadeem IAS, Commissioner of Labour and Sri. R. Chandrashekaram, Joint Commissioner of Labour to understand the impact of these reforms on the IT/ITES Industry.
Welcoming the guests, Bharani K Aroll, President, HYSEA appreciated the steps taken the government and labour department in simplifying various compliance laws for the IT/ITES Industry and hoped these important steps will help in improving ease of doing business.
In his introductory remarks Sri Ahmad Nadeem, IAS, Commissioner of Labour said, “The complexity of regulatory Process and difficulty in compliance has been sited as an impediment to economic development and govt is committed to simplifying the compliance mechanism”. He added that Manual Process, Manual Approvals, indiscriminate inspections and lack of transparency would be eliminated totally.
Sri R. Chandrashekaram, Joint Commissioner of Labour, made a detailed presentation on the positive impact of the reforms on the IT/ITES Industry. He also stated that while the compliance has been made easy for companies, but the spirit of the law is not compromised in anyway.
The highly interactive session was attended by more than 170+ HR Leaders, Facilities Heads and Business Leaders from HYSEA member companies.
