MassMutual – A Star Member of HYSEA!

It has been a rewarding quarter for MassMutual India looking at what the business has accomplished. Here is a quick look at those accomplishments

In the light of the new expansion moves by MassMutual India, we recently kicked off operations for one of the key subsidiaries of MassMutual – Barrings. It is a global asset management firm dedicated to meeting the evolving investment and capital needs of our clients. To accommodate the growing MassMutual India family, the facility has expanded to another floor in the building. The new facility is now open for our employees from October1, 2021. One of the most critical events reflective of our commitment was the vaccination drive. The drive was conducted after the vaccination for 18+ was permitted by the government.  It helped vaccinate employees, frontline staff, housekeeping & security staff, and their families.

We also concluded our first offsite, the Leadership Retreat 2021 with the senior leadership and the managers. The main objective of the offsite was to help participants network and socialize, deep dive into MassMutual’s Performance Management philosophy, and get first-hand feedback from ground-up team members. It was a productive day punctuated with learning and engagement for those present at the Leadership Retreat.

Among other developments, we launched employees’ committees, which has onus to engage employees in various ways based on their interests. The Corporate Social Responsibility committee celebrated the Independence Day with the senior citizens at the old age home called Mothers’ Nest, Neredmet, Hyderabad. This was a small step towards driving social impact. The team members distributed provisions and other essentials to the senior inmates. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee with a focus on engaging diverse employees that drive business impact, conducted the Vendor Staff Day. A well organized, well attended event had everyone interacting with colleagues over good food and entertainment. This event was a tribute to the efforts by the vendors and partners, about celebrating diversity, integrating them in the organization, and making them feel valued. The Campus Connect committee recently signed an MoU with the Vardhaman College of Engineering. This formal engagement with the institution will help students to hone their entrepreneurship skills and enhance their employability quotient through various programs and mentorship.
