Mr. NVS Reddy, IRAS, Managing Director, Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd addressed the participants of 36thLeadership Development Program of HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association). An Award-winning workshop series of HYSEA designed to help aspiring leaders achieve their personal best and improve their effectiveness in a leadership role. It is based on the principle that, learning happens through Education, Exposure and Experience. While Education is primary focus in traditional training sessions and experiential learning is attempted in most workshops, the uniqueness of this Leadership Workshop lies in the Exposure that it provides to the participants.

In his address Mr. NVS Reddyoutlined the challenges faced by the highly ambitious, first of its kind and Worlds largest Metro Project in PPP mode. Leadership lessons in overcoming Challenges like Land Acquisition and Road Widening, Alignment refinement to take care of Urban and Social Sensitivities, Coordination among Central & State Govt. Depts, Permissions from Rlys, Defense,  Airport Authority and National Highways, Handling agitations, Shifting of utilities, Traffic facilitation works, Felling of trees (5000) with compensatory plantation/translocation, were heard in rapt attention by the participants.

He advised the aspiring leaders to lead with passion and share their vision with each member of the team. He said,“Determination, dogged perseverance & extraordinary patience, courage to be prepared for failure and ridicule are absolute essentials for a leader to succeed in any Ambitious project”.    

 He also emphasized the need for an open-minded approach, Clarity of thought, Empathy, Constant innovation, Effective communication – both within & with outside world. These he said go a long way in snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

After his inspiring valedictory address, Mr. NVS Reddygave away the certificates to the participants of this four-week workshop.  Mr. Murali Bollu, President, HYSEAand Mr. R. Srinivas Rao, COO HYSEAwere also present on the occasion.

Overall, this workshop since its inception in 2004 has helped nearly 2000 participants from more than 250member companies to retool themselves for the current workplace by enhancing their ability to manage change, take risks, collaborate, and build partnerships & teams.
