Dr. Anil K. JAMPALA,
Vice-President, Satyam Computer Serviced Ltd., has rich global experience in varied fields.

He is presently heads the Technology & partnerships division of Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) as Vice President.

As President of Brahma Solutions, he has provided Consulting and Training services to many MNC companies including ADP India Private Ltd., Analog Devices, Cell Exchange, Deloitte Consulting, PB Systems Inc., Polaris, SumTotal Systems, etc.

Prior to Brahma Solutions, he was President and CEO of Inspira Technologies (P) Ltd, an ISO  9001 certified off-shore development center of US company Inspira Inc. During his tenure, many projects and products were executed successfully in varied areas.  For Govt. of Andhra Pradesh's core On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) pilot project, we were able to beat best of MNCs. This project was launched when Bill Gates visited Hyderabad on 14th November 2002. What is billed as "In-line to On-line",  can now be called “PDA to Portal”. A rural citizen can get services delivered efficiently from village level kiosk by accessing either the state portal  via AP State Wide Area Network (APSWAN), or using  hortizonal and vertical connectivity among 10 key departments and integration with legacy systems.

Prior to Inspira, he was co-promoter and Executive Director of Resonance Technologies (P) Ltd, an ISO  9001 certified off-shore development center of US company Resonance Technologies Inc. During his tenure, many projects and products were executed successfully in varied areas.  Products were developed in medical informatics, eGovernance applications for local government and banking sector.

Prior to Resonance, he worked 10 years for Alstom Esca in Bellevue, WA, in Energy Management Systems (EMS) business, contributing to such  large projects as Pennsylvania Power & Light, Madison Gas & Electric, Puget Power (USA) and Public Power Corporation of Greece, and Light Rio project of Brazil.

He currently holds a voluntary Secretary position at HYderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA ) and is an active member of Managing Committee of HYSEA for last 5 years.

He has been a member of IEEE for the last 23 years. He is also a Vice-Chairman (2001,2003,2004), past Treasurer (1999,2000) for IEEE Hyderabad Section. During his tenure, many successful initiatives have been taken, resulting in significant increase in membership:

Fiscal and fiduciary discipline and reporting
Sound financial position of the Section
2000 members by Year 2000 (2k by Y2K goal)
Section Students Congress is initiated in 2003 for the first time and successfully conducted again in 2004
Soft skills programs to student members
Focus on various regions in the state to increase membership and improve member initiatives
Organizing Chair, for Enabling Technologies For Smart Appliances 2005 conference (IEEE President was the Guest of Honor.)
Education related initiatives.

He received his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Washington, Seattle in 1986 and his MBA from Seattle University in 1992.

He is the recipient of IEEE Millennium Medal and  Outstanding Social Service award and Service to HYSEA award by Hyderabad Software Exporters Association.

He has published nearly 20 papers in IEEE and international journals.

 
SHAILENDRA K JOSHI, IAS

Mr. Shailendra Kumar Joshi, an Indian Administrative Service Officer of Andhra Pradesh Cadre, being M.Tech in Communications & Radar Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, & BE in Electronics & Communications from IIT, Roorkee is a multi disciplinary professional & personality, enthused by lot of dynamism and proactiveness with the motto to serve the Country.

Mr. Joshi is presently Secretary to the Government, Information Technology & Communications Department, saddled with the responsibility of promotion of IT industry in the State. His believes that usage of information technology as a tool and prime growth engine, helps not only in leap frog socio-economic development of the State but also penetration of the benefits of IT to the last mile of the State.

Mr. Joshi having worked in key positions in Government of India and State Government, such as Ministry of Environment & Forests, Ministry of agriculture, Ministry of Power and Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Ministry of Railways, Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare, etc. with over two decades of relevant experience at various levels, has impeccable credentials in the areas of Environment, Energy, Sustainable Development and Public Administration.

Mr. Joshi was a member of the Indian Delegations to the Indo-EU Energy Forum and Asia-Pacific Partnership, etc, and has attended various professional training programs, international programs and submitted various papers. He is also a member of no. of professional bodies.

Mr. Joshi is well experienced in working in multi-cultural settings and believes in team work which is essential for achieving organizational objectives.

 
Professor Krishna Vedula
Professor of Chemical Engineering Dean Emeritus,
Francis College of Engineering University of Massachusetts Lowell

Dr. Vedula is well recognized globally for his contributions to engineering education, research, administration and outreach. He is internationally recognized for his research in processing and properties of materials for high temperature applications, with particular emphasis on powder processing and intermetallic compounds and environmental effects.

As dean of engineering at University of Massachusetts, he has been recognized for his leadership in building unique partnerships with business, K-12, state agencies and other educational institutions. He was responsible for raising several millions of dollars for scholarships, endowments and facilities from private sources and for overseeing a significant improvement in the quality of students and faculty as well research and teaching facilities at the Francis College of Engineering. He is Founder and Executive Chair (until recently) of “Massachusetts STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) Collaborative” aimed at increasing the number of youth interested in science and engineering careers in MA. He is currently one of the leaders of the ASEE initiative for Indo-US Collaboration in Engineering Education.

Dr. Vedula has B.Tech (IIT Bombay, India, 1967), M.S. (Drexel University, 1969) and Ph.D. (Michigan Tech University, 1980) degrees in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering. He has 25 years academic teaching and research experience in materials science and engineering, including 10 years as a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University, 5 years as chair of the materials science and engineering department at Iowa State University and 8 years as dean of an engineering college at UMass Lowell. In addition he has spent 2 years managing federal research and educational programs.

 
Dr. P.R. Naga Srinivasa
Born on 6th May, 1942.

Education :
B.E. (Mech.), N. I. E, Mysore, M.Tech and Ph.D. – IIT, Madras.

Experience :
16 years in Teaching and 28 years in Industrial Research in Bharat Heavy Electrical ltd.

Entrepreneurship :
Instituted and running the Entrepreneurship Development Cell with sponsorship from DST, GOI, since 2004.

Innovation :
Initiated an innovation club and conducting National Level Innovative idea and solution competition for Engineering students annually since 2004. 4th competition is due in March 2008.

Also initiated steps to conduct a National Workshop for Engineering and management faculty on “Igniting the Spirit of Innovation in Engineering students” on 24th and 25th January, 2007.

Patents :
Have three patents to credit.

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra is Senior Vice President at Knoah Solutions Inc. Bipin joined Knoah in its early stage and has been instrumental in growing it to its current strength of 1300+ employees and leading it from <0.5M revenue to over 12M revenue.

Prior to joining Knoah, Flt Lt Bipin Chandra was General Manager at PortalPlayer Inc. During this and his previous stints in senior management positions with SoftSol Inc., Mahindra-British Telecom, Datapro Infoworld and Malhotra Industries, Bipin successfully led and managed Operations, Program Management, Software Development, Quality, HRD, and Finance functions. Prior to the corporate career, Bipin was a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Air Force and worked on Surface to Air Missiles, Surveillance Radars and Electronic Warfare.

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra is currently the Chairman for the AMCHAM Hyderabad Chapter (American Chamber of Commerce), Secretary, AMCHAM India, Vice-Chairman of AMCHAM SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Committee, Charter Member and Executive Committee member of TiE Hyderabad Chapter (The Indus Entrepreneur). Bipin is also the member of IT & C Panel of CII, Andhra Pradesh (Information Technology and Communication Panel of Confederation of Indian Industry) and is actively involved with the ITES initiative (Information Technology Enabled Services) and Leadership initiative of Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA ). Bipin is a frequent speaker at industry forums and local television channels.

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra is the proud recipient of "Personnel Manager of the Year" award from Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) during its 32nd annual awards function in Y2005.

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra has done his BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, MBA in HRD, and a PG Diploma in Total Quality Management.

Flt Lt Bipin Chandra is married to Dr. Nalini and enjoys time with his children, Shantanu, Himanshu and niece, Sphoorthi. He is an avid reader of books and articles on human behavior and management practices. His passion is mentoring and he is a strong believer in human potential and the responsibility of the manager to unleash and help the associates to blossom and succeed.
