HYSEA was started in 1991, by 15 individuals. These individuals were CEO's of software companies who saw the potential of IT and how it could change the face of our state and its economy. Like most great ideas, it had a humble beginning. Helping software companies overcome their teething problems by providing them guidance and support. It began its long trek determined to help the nascent industry in Hyderabad.
HYSEA s charter over the years has expanded to playing a pivotal role in helping the government formulate appropriate policies and extending help in the creation of simpler and more effective procedures needed for the growth of the industry. This has helped the industry spread its wings across the world and the Association itself has grown over the years intone with the phenomenal growth of the IT and ITES industry in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
HYSEA is one of its kind in the country as there is no other state level association in India that is working for the development of software industry. Due to the efforts of HYSEA , the Government of A.P. set up a Consultative Committee, under the Department of Information Technology and Communications (CCIT) to speed up implementation of the incentives announced by it. President and Secretary of HYSEA represent the association in the committee and on number of occasions their contribution to the deliberations of the committee were acknowledged and appreciated by the Department.
Another major achievement of HYSEA was to get HITEC City area of Hyderabad, Madhapur, declared as a Notified Area. The Association works closely with the Cyberabad Security Council to address the security concerns collaboratively. HYSEA history is rich with proud achievements
Currently HYSEA is actively engaged in playing a lead role for all the IT and ITES companies of Andhra Pradesh. HYSEA represents the member companies as an entity to the Government, public and private institutions and to other industry and trade associations in India and abroad to leverage collective competencies.
Many of HYSEA s members actively participate in the deliberations of the various think-tanks, convened by the IT&C department of the government, with the objective of establishing a leadership position for Andhra Pradesh in the global IT/ITES marketplace. Several of the SME members also provide valuable inputs on the IT policy, which are duly communicated to the IT&C department. These are expected to find an echo in the IT policy to be announced in the near future.
The focus of HYSEA during the last one year has been: Human Resources, Marketing, Technology and Finance through exclusive Forums for each of them.
HYSEA has a very ambitious agenda and a clear road map for the future service. The credit for building such an organization goes to the pioneers of the industry and the earlier office bearers of the association.
