The Software development and consulting field in India is entering a stage of maturity and developing software products for global market could become the next growth engine for the IT industry. The value proposition through this route though difficult could make a huge impact and difference for the country if orchestrated in a collaborative fashion. Many Indian products have already been accepted globally and more are entering this field.
HYSEA in collaboration with Barcamp-Hyderabad, IIIT and TiE has taken a major initiative in organizing a Software Products Showcase and Workshop to highlight the intense product development work happening in Andhra Pradesh. Welcoming the gathering Dr. Anil Jampala, President, HYSEA , highlighted its past initiatives in this area - Product Leadership Accelarator (pla), Concept 2 Cash workshop, Changing Landscape in AP etc.
The event emphasized on highlighting the local product startup experiences, directly presented by the founders. Leaders from successful Product companies, Venture Capitalists (VCs) and Academicians shared their experiences in building Intellectual Property (IP) and products. They also highlighted the support eco system available in Andhra Pradesh for new products and startups. The software product leaders also talked about their experiences in conceiving and building their product companies, which was followed by a panel discussion around software products and technology startups. The CEOs panel included: Jay Pullur (Pramati), Suheim Sheikh (3i Infotech), CK Shastri (Intense Technologies), Ashhar Farhan (Serial tech Entrepreneur), Mahesh Murthy (Pinstorm & later Seedfund), and Sandeep Bhandarkar (Fineng). |
