_NRL2356_NRL2410Hyderabad, December 15, 2017-HYSEA, Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association, hosted the 3rd edition of Annual HYSEA HR Summit 2017 today at HICC. The Summit was graced by Ms. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. The theme for this year’s event was “People and Beyond” which reflected the challenges the HR faces today due to emerging disruptive technologies and also the role it can play beyond managing people.

The emerging HR event of the IT Industry in Hyderabad, uncovered the evolving HR trends brought together the thought leaders and HR practitioners on a common platform to exchange views that aims set or steer the direction of the IT Industry in general and its core asset, the HR in particular.

Welcoming the summit gathering, Mr. Ranga Pothula, President of HYSEA, Center Head, Infor, said “HYSEA has more than 300 member companies from IT & ITES ecosystem in Hyderabad and today we all have come here to share new and upcoming trends in HR space with automation & wellness being a key focus area.” “I’m certain that each participant would take back learnings that would help them in shaping HR strategies which will be mutually beneficial for both employees and the company,” He added.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, said, “I would like to congratulate HYSEA for taking lead in organising this HR Summit which will open-up minds and new avenues to make the HR function in any organization more humane & productive. Human Resource is all about connecting with the people and understanding their pain and requirements and listening to their needs, and plan for them as if they are your own family. I feel the culture of autocratic leadership has changed and at the end of the day, it is the organisation, human beings and family spirit within work which will sustain and thrive and will win not the engagement of an employee but the heart of this family member on a common mission.” She added.

Delivering the Key note speech, Dr. Chandrasekhar Sripada, Professor (OB & Strategic Human Capital), Indian School of Business, said, “ People are with Managers and managers are with HR, HR should help managers to help their people and manage them better to ensure right productivity at the right time and at the right cost.”

HR has long transcended from its existential role of human ‘resource’ management at its inception to being human ‘capital’ management in its coming of age era to becoming an inseparable partner in strategies of winning, retaining and expanding customer base for the modern business leaders. Today, more than ever in the past, the IT industry has a delicate balance to maintain between nurturing and protecting its human capital while at the same time challenging and testing it for tomorrow’s opportunity!
